At Amberhof we pursue the concept of holistic care of the sport horses entrusted to us in full dressage.
Christian Lanterdinger is responsible for the education and training of riders and horses.
Christian holds the golden riding badge, was a finalist at the German Bundeschampionat and has represented his home country Austria at the World Championships for young dressage horses.
The successful trainer himself rides internationally up to Grand Prix level and has already brought several talented and young horses into top-level sport.
Parallel to the dressage stable, we offer rehabilitation of sport horses through aqua training.
This training method is a unique opportunity to move injured horses in a controlled manner and also to work them mentally.
Aquatraining is muscularly strenuous, but gentle on tendons, joints and ligaments. Aquatraining is also a very efficient training method for strengthening the back muscles and optimizing the movement sequence.
Our own sport horses regularly enjoy the varied training in the water. The counter-pressure of the water causes more activity from the hindquarters, which tightens the horse’s abdominal muscles and significantly improves the use of the back muscles, combined with more shoulder freedom.
In addition to aqua training, other services from external partners can be used to rehabilitate your horse.
In close consultation with the horse owner, the rider and the attending vets, we draw up an individual treatment and training plan for your horse.
The duration of your stay at Amberhof depends on your personal requirements and the recovery process of the horse entrusted to us.
You are also welcome to support your horse’s muscles during your vacation with aqua training during the riding-free period or book individual training sessions.
We support you in marketing your sport horse and in your search for a dressage horse to meet the highest standards.
Every year we offer a small but exclusive selection of foals and young dressage prospects, some of which we breed ourselves.
When mating, we place particular emphasis on the demands of modern sport horse breeding and on proven mare lines with performance genes. The pedigrees of our broodmares include Grand Prix stallions up to the fourth generation.
The lines of our mares have produced licensed stallions, World Championship and Bundeschampionat participants as well as numerous auction and show horses at national and international level.
